Unto My DayA Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
When I rise the timing is right.
I look to the window. I feel the forecast. The freshest air lingers before dawn peaks light. I'm cold. I see the pigeons fight under the street light for Mr. Lee's crumbled bread. In a flash, dash to the roof to retreat. An alley cat. So hungry, could eat a bat. Rats! struggle for a drop of water, poisoned by city workers. Slowly the daylight is bursting out her sunny sun. I'm full of life, recharged and ready for today's fun. © 2017 ROXANE DORSEYReviews
