Don't B Afraid

Don't B Afraid

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

I'm afraid of tomorrow.
For I did nothing today.
I put on patience too long.
Turned out making myself
a repeated sad song.
Imma do it tomorrow.
Yeah tomorrow.
Cause I don't feel like it
today. If tomorrow never comes,
I won't be one of the lucky 1's.
To see the earth run in it's
everyday shoes without
spilling a drip or making a
trip going round & round.
Put away the fear and tell
folks to stand clear.  I have
my destiny to do just like
all of you.

Doesn't take long for "putting-it-off" to become a habit and we all know how hard it is to break a habit - look at smoking.

About
love poetry since it has been embedded in my mind deeply way back when I was 4 years old. A very good reader in pre-school. Nursery rhymes tuned me in even deeper. more..
