Beauty in Nature

Beauty in Nature

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

Our earth, how it cry
tears wit rain drops.
Drip, drip, down it pours.
Our earth, drenched to
quench its thirst.
Crying liquid of necessity.
A broken tree branch
caused the pain.
Death becomes of its name.

Flowers set in rows, waiting
on its tippy toes.
For our sun to expose. Beauty
from the sky. Raining down
nutrients dry.
Oh, such warmth with comfort
to sooth new growth.
Tree hunters axe away.
A seed is needed in replace.
Feed it. It'll grow, needed water
or snow.  Keep it moist &
patience through the years.

Crowded weeds fight'n to
breathe underground roots,
spread'n around & loose.  Choking,
hugging its kin and friends.
Another species we dare to eat.
Tender young mushrooms at
your feet.
They maybe poison to
consume.
