Anxiety

Anxiety

A Poem by Tee

Anxiety is like
A little stone
In your shoe
Rattling around
Irritating
Stabbing
Niggling spitefully
Until all of a sudden
Relief
It's gone
Dislodged
Shaken free
And you stride with confidence
Luxuriating in deep, trusting steps
Steady and strong

It only takes one wobble
One offbeat
A loss of balance
The stone, tucked away
Worms itself out
And in
Irritating
Stabbing
Niggling spitefully
And you stumble once more
