Thank You, for not passing me by

Thank You, for not passing me by

A Poem by TTBoy28

You flew in like a bird

All perched

Standing tall on your word

Picture-perfect

Without any defect

Never gave me time to reflect

for the reject

In case you didn’t know

I couldn’t let my feelings show

Still, as I look down from the sky

Let me thank you

For not passing me by

In rooms so full of stars

I see emotions in clear jars

Every teardrop caught up in smiles

while every grin cherished the styles

There’s my corner

I know it well

And little Jack Horner

did live to tell

Not in the voice

Not everybody has a choice

If truth be told

Nobody would be bold

See what you want to see

Even play make believe

Remember when you look up to the sky

I said, “Thank You, for not passing me by”

Listen when the bell rings

Life isn’t about fancy things

Before you, I would lie

Thank You, for not passing me by
