Yes, ma'am! I Danced With a Man!

Yes, ma'am! I Danced With a Man!

A Poem by TTBoy28

My head was spinning

Feeling like my hair was thinning

That was the beginning

Long before I started sinning

I welcomed Him to take my hand

As only one could understand

Carefully, but then gently like a man

Knowing He could crush me like a tin can

And He took it

As I stared in His eyes

But He didn’t mind one bit

He led me to the friendly skies

Yes, ma'am
I danced with a Man
Just believe I Am what I Am
enjoying life like falling grains of sand

In a corner, standing so weak

I couldn’t speak

It was something about His glow

That I needed to know

Of all the others in the room

I had my choice

I needed help from all my gloom

I guess, that was my prayer my voice

Somehow

Without a word

I thought I heard

Just get on board, I got you now

And I let go

Feelings of peace how they flowed

Losing control, you know

I knew I found my new abode
