Let us do it again

Let us do it again

A Poem by TTBoy28

Can we meet again

Before I go?

Can we start the conversation over

even though we did nothing wrong?

You showed me love

You showed me pain

Yet, you showed me

And I thank you so much

I saw in you

What I wanted to see

I made you out to be

What I wanted

And there you were

All that for me

So, I ask you

Can we meet again

before I make you go away?

With me

Somewhere

Anywhere

We both can be

And stay

Shiny, polished diamonds

Without the strings attached

Loose but as one

In a circle

Dangling

Never hanging

Because

We didn’t fail

We didn’t fall
