When I Let You Borrow

When I Let You Borrow

A Poem by TTBoy28

When I let you borrow

I almost knew

there would be sorrow

Avoidance is

your comeuppance

Such a shame

you have to play

instead of taking a stance

You see me from the outside

My soft well-spoken glide

is now what you’d wish I’d hide

But now I’ll see your sorrow

Mr. and Mrs. Jones has written

A bad application and they can no

longer attempt to borrow

Some think it’s the pill

That needs a thrill

And the pimp awaits to shrill

Then he fails to sleep

Scouring the dumpsters like a beast

Until tomorrow because he allowed a

trick to borrow

Like a debt collector

Mean, I have a team

to make you a defector

Either way

I’ll see you tomorrow

And show the way and

  what it’s like

   When I let you borrow

 You’ll have to come out

sometime

With only your hide as clout

that has depreciated with time

But I’ll see you tomorrow

And everyday after

You closer to enjoying a rafter

After and When I let you borrow
