Stars and Seeds

Like a shooting star

It’s harder to catch

than the billowy dream-makers

or wish granters

that float through the air

Hoping to be caught

by you

held ever-so-lightly

and prayed upon

before being released back

into the air you live and breathe

All a part of creation

Yours for the taking

if only you reach for them

with good intentions

Stars may fall from the sky

and seeds will too

Though one may cause more

destruction

without cultivation
