Can You See Me Now?

Can You See Me Now?

A Poem by TTBoy28

I said, "Hi," when I got home from school

But you didn't hear me because you

 were on the phone

I needed help with my math homework

But you couldn't help me because the

 neighbor needed your help

I wanted to try out for the football

 team

But I couldn't because I had to babysit

 my little brother and sister

I tried to tell you that they were

 picking on me at school

But you didn't believe me because those

were good kids

I wanted to have a birthday party

But you asked me if I had friends who

 would want to come

I asked you how I could make people like

 Me

The phone rang, and you told me to

wait a minute.  I waited so long I just

fell asleep

I tried to tell you that they were

picking on me at school

When I came home with a bloody nose,

I just said I fell

I tried to tell you that they were all

hitting me in school.  I told somebody

else but they told me to tell you.

I tried to tell you

I just wanted it to stop

I just wanted them to stop...

Powerful message to all, slow down and listen!
I loved it, though I found it lonely and sad: and pray I'm never guilty of being deaf to those who need my attention and love.

Many have suffered this kind of ignorance and like 'Munch-hausers' and the Chinese drip torture it eats away meticulously and comes to an unbearable climax in adult minds. You have set a standard of excellence here TT...and you should be suitably proud of this work!
Kudos!!!

This is ... so very deep, and happens way too many times in this world.
It deeply touches me, for there's a lot of suffering nobody even notices, so sad, and unfortunately such sometimes even ends tragically.

Deeply touching, and skillfully done.
