Gays Are Okay!

Gays Are Okay!

A Poem by TTBoy28

Gays are okay

didn't you hear

But they still say

Oh Boy, they're queer!

I don't know

what else to do

'Cause it's so easy to show

they don't have a clue

Fear is fake

Though they won't admit it

Such an easy thing to shake

For a macho gym no one will quit

Muscles and Tats

The best way to be

Raise your drinks and your hats

sucking down head in bars they're free

When the spirits hit

whether on or off the field

Right beside them in the pit

A soul as honest as a skin that's peeled

Inside is a soul

set out to play a role

Sworn to die for what's right

If death is the goal

then may it take its toll

and see no difference as he enters

the light

The die is cast the moment we are born, no-one can change a single gene in our own jigsaw puzzle (at least not yet). If one is born straight, it is right to be attracted by the opposite gender - If one is born gay it is right to be attracted by the same gender - so where should anyone find a problem in this natural distinction? I think we should all respect each other for who we are and the world would be a better place...
Great write, very thought provoking.

. brilliant, absolutely brilliant ! ... the last four lines are particularly powerful ... very early in life ... i saw a movie called philadelphia ... and it impacted me as it should have ... besides some of my favourite artists are freddie mercury and paul simon and art garfunkel ... and my favourite writer is oscar wilde ... the message of this poem is much needed ...
