The Way It Was

The Way It Was

A Poem by TTBoy28

Blame me

to shame thee

Walk again in harmony

What lost definition

regained is the intention

As I tried and lied

you spied

and tried to remain

as sane

maintaining a lane

without a signal to change

But I saw your mange

with help of my spies

my third, fourth set of eyes

Damn it, if my lust

didn't become my trust

for your dumb a*s

cause I fell way too fast

thinking this would last

now knowing this too

 shall pass

For another chance

 at a failed romance

I would take it because

we did have fun

always on the run

that's just the way it was
