Convenience comes at a price that only

 a few of us are willing to risk

knowing but then hoping

 there will be some kind of deal

We want to be involved

by involving the right people in our

 little ponzi scheme of cat and mouse misfits

Feeling that we have thoroughly covered

 our tracks

We think we have all bases accounted for

 and smarter than the smartest of outwits

Sympathy is a dirty adjectved verb

 which turns to a noun

  when speculation rises

But we will not back down until

   it is proven that we were the main accomplice
