When We Die

When We Die

A Poem by TTBoy28

I know what happens when

 we die

It would be a shame for me

to share the secret with you

for it would possibly shorten

 your life here even more

The future is just something made up

to related to an everyday tomorrow

It is the hereafter

 that really and only matters

It is not about Love

or being so good until there is no use

for you here on this plain

But it's about

your thoughts as you drift into

 your new residence

Leaving this topic here is a lot

 like a ghost

one who hangs in limbo between here

and there

When you know you're going on a trip,

  don't you prepare for it?

There is a choice to make in that other

state

Some get angry that they have to

choose

  Some can't decide

Some just go gently and peacefully

But the wattage of their bulb is the

amount they chose before they went

into it
