Call Me Guilty

Call Me Guilty

A Poem by TTBoy28

When you invited me out that night

and we ran out of gas

Who paid the price for it?

When we made it to the restaurant

I already knew what time it was

I paid for it

When it came time to make love

I could have sworn your legs went up first

Maybe it was all in my head

I had to get out of that bed

When it came time to pay the rent

I had already paid the gas and light bill

I watched you throw your hand up

I'll be sure to change the locks, I will

Call Me Guilty

for accepting myself for settling

I let them all tell me how good you were

I didn't see it as mettling

Call Me Guilty

for not seeing the signs

Letting you take advantage of me

At least I'm able to pay my fines

Call Me Guilty

for letting you in

Call Me Guilty

I'm not doing it again

When you need your things

they'll be out on the front yard

Don't bother knocking

I got the Sergeant's card

Take care

I hope you find another fool

Next time,

you should keep your a*s in school
