Rehab Girl

Rehab Girl

A Poem by TTBoy28

The thief remained in her

long after rehab released the

bandaged head she rested on the empty platter

used to serve up examples of failure

Red and Whites swallowed

Blues kept her in the closet with brooms

that walked on two feet

No questions asked as her

desires and illness spilled over onto the seats

of unaccustomed but welcomed

pirates

She often returns

to a new staff

new brooms stacked in the

closet

her name on a new pad

and a new pad of paper
