Ghetto Boogie

Ghetto Boogie

A Poem by TTBoy28

I don't wanna stay

 I just wanna play

I wanna hear all the rhymes they gotta say

Don't have to be vile

 Just gotta have style

rappin' throwin' bodies in a pile

Wanna make sounds that just gotta click

sound so good they gotta call 'em sick

Then they wanna add to a boy-boy flick

And when it's all then said and done

and when everybody's down with the fun

I'm gonna be out there with the people on the run

I'm gonna have my day in the sun

Little girls and little boys

come together and gain more toys

In the hood so many joys

 different pressures different alloys

Everybody tells a story

and everyone wants a piece of the glory

Livin' a life they say is no good

tryin' to survive with a jive in the hood

Let 'em all do a jig

 with a swig

soulful meaning that will flip a wig

Help 'em out

 and move about

Let your body freak and shout

Classic case of oogie oogie oogie

Goin' along with the Ghetto Boogie
