40 - Love

40 - Love

A Poem by TTBoy28

Each ball he pounded

was a reminder of what Life had

  taken from Him

Only one score from victory

 the volley was never-ending

And as his eyes blinked

 he mistakeningly pounded

and volleyed the balls of another

Praying for stamina

 praying for time

His grunts more apparent than theirs

as he was the only one

to display any Life at all
