What you did in High School

What you did in High School

A Poem by TTBoy28

I saw my old Social Studies teacher, Mr. Pelicano

the other day in the grocer store

I couldn't tell if he was happy to see me because of the way he asked about you

And you didn't even take his class

Mr. Erwin, my old Calculus teacher, sent his best when I saw him last week

 at the car dealership

I kinda caught a grin as he patted the used Mustang he showed me

You never told me you took his class

Miss Jenny, the Home Ec teacher, married Coach Rybak about eleven years ago

about a month after my graduation

When he accidentally adjusted himself when he asked about you, Miss Jenny adjusted

 him

How did you know Coach Rybak?

I finally got a chance to go back to High School for a visit

and Mr. Holl was still there teaching Current Events

He called you by your nickname when he asked about you and tugged on his belt

Mr. Holl did have a reputation of being a pimp in High School

Mr. Schermerhorn, the Principal, gosh he's still there

he let me use the rest room in the Teacher's Lounge after our visit

He forgot to have me not use one of the stalls

Your name and other stuff was written all over it

Did you ever find your Yearbook?
