Back to the Beginning

Back to the Beginning

A Poem by TTBoy28

Lord,

  What have I done?

I am back to square one

on the prowl but not again

Things are way different than the

glitz I made glamorous once I settle down

A long journey

 but I was not alone

 not in body

 Not with my same intentions

It was a long journey

and I am coming back maybe to start

  all over again

This time

 I have nothing but time

 I have nothing

I have nothing as hope can't laugh

anymore

This time

I ask for you to come back with me

 for I have no body

 and nobody to claim me

And nobody to tell me that I

should be back among my own

And I know why

And I ask you to come back with me

And help me bring the glitz back

and speak of the glamour in this old

 familiar place

Lord,

 be my companion
