I Don't Need You Anymore

I Don't Need You Anymore

A Poem by TTBoy28

I scratched your name

 from my book

because of the lies you took

from me were friends of mine

who always showed up on time

I called them night or day

 kind things they would say

they loved me for who I was

 they told me

 just because

I was so strong with them

 they made me see

life for what it was sincerely

and I knew you were there

 just waiting for your share

I took you back

 like a heart attack

after you found another dream you could star in

 because I loved my lies

 I loved my ties

I can't call your name anymore

I won't even look you up

so easy for you to deceive me

I didn't ask you for the truth

you fool that was so uncouth
