When My Mama Calls

When My Mama Calls

A Poem by TTBoy28

When my Mama calls

Please let me be ready to talk to her

It may be the last time I get to hear her voice

One on one is what I prefer

When my Mama calls

Please let me be in a good mood

I don’t want her to hear me down

And giving her my rude attitude

When my Mama calls

Please let my phone be charged

I don’t want her to hear any static

And screaming like my voice is enlarged

When my Mama calls

Please don’t let me forget to say, “I love you”

I don’t care if she hears anything else

Those three words will do

When my Mama calls

Please let me be able to get home to her

I don’t care what I hear the weather will be

'Cause for her I will get there safely but faster
