The Land that someone wants

The Land that someone wants

A Poem by TTBoy28

Oil and water do not mix

 and this is fact

When the levees broke

 where were you

When the economy's banking system

started to crumble under the reign

of a most contemptuous adversary of yours

 where were you

Waiting for the perfect opportunity

 you showed yourself under extreme

 conditions

With huts still occupied

 and a scapegoat in place

you have emerged with a secret

Like the Africa taekover

the levees served as a vessel for

 transportation

Now as you have made your presence

 known through another breakage

a forceout by starvation is the plan

But who else would know this

except for a true native and a true

believer that Africa lives in L.A.

And as the roots were displayed of

 long ago

long live a new teller of tales

of victims not so far behind

with a voice that cannot and will not be silenced
