The Prolific Liar

You as the show off and you show

 what you put on

Leaving never a weeping eye for

 you are the prize adornment that so many

 wish for all season long

And flash go you

And captured are you for their memories

What a well-featured flash you are

 Standing so tall with a chest out

Proud on the outside

 while lies and eaten up truths fester

Never soulless as you adapt accordingly

 when most convenient

Life for you is always an excuse

 for you to sing for your supper

 even if you don't have to

Yet there is the hunger for more

forever more

and then comes an explanation for the

pot bellied happiness that you amass

And the words roll as you feel your tongue

But when the song becomes like a broken record

 because of the twisted taster

 bitter now is the flavor for the

 prolific liar that all desired to emulate

But what is a tongue without

 a home

And a liar needs very little space

Just the chance to make that area

 grow the wrong way

 

Any attention is good attention

 for a liar
