Tell Me

Tell Me

A Poem by TTBoy28

Where were you

I expected you here and on time

with a firm noticeable grip on it

where were you

I don't like performing by myself

but you gave me no damn choice

now, where were you

Don't expect to share in the accolades of our

 hard work

we definitely honed in on our craft

Now where were you

We made promises

We promised them and had the audacity to welcome

 others to keep our flow

I was beginning to tire of the humdrum that brought me

respect that not even the explicit Governor could command

or his prized piece of a*s that his delicious wife so carefully

selected for him and sacrificed to us

yet again, I spilled blood and used her pad to

soak the damage and now I want you to dispose of it

Now, where the f**k were you

If you wanted to stop

why didn't you just say so

 tell me

I did not want to do this without you

and stand here asking you to vouch for your whereabouts

You're missing a cufflink

This will be the last time this happens

It will not happen to me again and you will

 not happen to me again

We made promises

The most special of days and you had to go and do this

Why

Where were you

I waited until I couldn't wait anymore

Where were you

Look at me

Did you do it

Did you

Just answer me

 Did you do it

Don't play games with me

I wanna know, did you do it

The Governor and his wife were sorry that I fell ill tonight

and wished me a speedy recovery

She has your cufflink

The Mayor and her husband really enjoyed their time here tonight

I introduced them to our landscaper

They are inked in with us for next Wednesday

...me and the landscaper, that is

Hahaha the ending is just absolutely perfect! And the Governor's wife having the other cufflink made me pause for a moment. You never cease to amaze me with the way that you speak from a characters point of view. Your poems are steady and everything seems to be linked from the beginning! Bravo!
