The Spook who sat by the Door

The Spook who sat by the Door

A Poem by TTBoy28

So calculating

was he

Years in wait

And the prophecy could not be

refused

He would be the new creation of Man

and guide

guide when the shadows would deem

him properly groomed

to avoid the doom from minute constituents

who lied in wait for years

The prophecy could not be refused

As the shadows grew

many would not follow

As the shadows grew

The prophecy would not be refused

and indifference became light's best friend

and his specific grooming was questioned

for although he said he would arrive

timing was everything

And because of time

The prophecy was not refused

He had become the spook who sat by the door

Taking his proper place

he watched indifference grow

he watched the shadows become few

and heard them tell him to

continue

for indifference has failed many

since Time

out of love and change

and it is bound to again

The prophecy has become

so spooky that there is a true end
