Lifepath: 8

Lifepath: 8

A Poem by TTBoy28

He was told to let it go

for infidelity would be the death of him

Put his foot down and demand

he's got the upper hand

Yet, he was The Executive, the Great Provider

He had proven himself, by amassing such a

great fortune

And great disconnect at home

Inevitable

it was for him to desire the finer things

along with the beauty he would ignore

Talking the perfect game

only to feel the shame

and lose it all

not because of a phone call

but a wrong move

and another man's groove

He was told to let it go

Forgiveness was a disease

that he could not appease

Damn her for what she did

Even though he thought struggle and

strife

was a normal part of life

Thank goodness there wasn't a kid

He should be shown love

from the heavens above

he proved what he could do

Just putting food on the table

doesn't keep one able

to remain loyal to you

When he finally let go

everyone would know

just how much he hurt inside

His Lifepath was 8

and it was way too late

this was how he died

I had to read about numerology and the meaning of the number 8, and now this poem is much clearer to me and tells a great story. I love the line "He was told to let go for infidelity would be the death of him."

I have no idea why, but it has such a great, nice ring to it. Good write. :)

i had a talk with someone about how its easy to get caught up in being a provider. now if focusing on money is just a way of not taking the time to keep a connection with loved ones, in turn making money used as an excuse for escape to happiness on purpose or on accident it doesnt matter. in some cases it is, in others its not... balance is key, also this relates closely to, you dont know what you have until its gone... i think pride was damged more then the heart in this piece of writting.. overall what died was just that, pride... allowing one to understand more about his/herself when its all said and done...
