Prissy

Prissy

A Poem by TTBoy28

A merry jubilant bunch

were they who congratulated

each others' faults and vain abilities

to project an image of

assuredness

competence

Even during periods of

intimate conjugation

the throes of passion seemed

well-orchestrated and falsely spent

careful not to welcome in

or engage in anyone

who challenged or posed

to burst their mundane and stepford-like

egos of grandeur

So they shared only

amongst themselves
