Timeless, even in death

Timeless, even in death

A Poem by TTBoy28

The gift you gave me was of

 Blood Money

 a timepiece beautiful yet achieved

 maliciously

Beautiful

You even took the time to have it inscribed

with my ever so unique name

Still, I can not recover

 from its malicious nature

I can never forget how you

 cruised into my life

And when we took one together

I tried to lose the reminder of you

the piece of time fell overboard

and I yearned to make it back to shore

I yearned to break free

as my blood curdled at the thought of you

We parted

but you could never let go even in death

My blood curdled when the knock came

and I confirmed who I was by the fisherman and his son

who manned the bay

and extracted a thirsty being and recovered the timeless

timepiece that was inscribed for me and lost by me

in an attempt to lose you

Maliciously

you came back to me and I accepted you gracefully
