BECAUSE I AM BAD

BECAUSE I AM BAD

A Poem by TTBoy28

Don't you know

I can change life with just a touch of my hand

And I can also change the way you feel

Slowly, like falling grains of sand

And do you know why?  Because I AM BAD

I can stop running water

With just a turn of a switch

And I can also sit back and watch your daughter

dig herself into a ditch

But why should I?  Because I AM BAD!

I can walk into a room

And all heads will look my way

I can leave out and it will be filled with gloom

Now what do I have to say?

 Nothing but I AM BAD!

My mother named me

But my father blamed me

All because I was too much for the eye to see

 HE SAID I WAS BAD

My grandmother is blind

But in my eyes she is still kind

I can lead her into the many worlds she has never seen before

Because this was God's wish - HE told me I AM BAD!

I am never too proud

Or never too sad

to stand by my drunken aunt or uncle who just fell off of his or her last cloud

My head is held high - BECAUSE I AM BAD!

Tonight, the clouds will form

And I will feel even more mad

I feel torment and scorn

for those who tried to stop me from being bad

I am here

This much is true

But what I dare to fear

is how much I can do

I can love

And I hate you and then be glad

I can do all this - And look like a dove

Just because I AM BAD!
