Deadside Manner

Deadside Manner

A Poem by TTBoy28

I feel you

I feel you as I see a gnat fly in front of me

fluttering in my ear and I fan it away

I feel you

I feel you

I feel you looking over my shoulder

and wanting to comment on my words

I feel you

I feel you

I feel you when my eyes grow weary for closure

and I shrug my shoulder and swat at my ear

I feel you

I feel you

I feel you as I turn off the computer

 and change for the evening

I feel you

I feel you

I feel you as I feel I have a new thought

 or an addition, a correction

I feel you

I feel you

I feel you wanting me to continue now

so I write the words for the next time

I feel you lie down next to me

and the light bulb dies taking my breath away

so I rise to change it

 regaining my breath

and I feel you

 looking over my shoulder

I liked this one, because after I read it, I was left wondering who the "you" was referring to. Intriguing...
