The Scratch Off

The Scratch Off

A Poem by TTBoy28
"

There is a visual message here too...

"

The more she scratched

the more she expected to see

  blood

She paid dearly

 for her chance to be

  paid

There wasn't even a hint

 or glimmer of hope

  today

Choose another

 type of bandage she

  doesn't

Remaining faithful to

 an effort will surely

  solidify

Her reluctance to cease

increased love for thee and not

  the

Her last was given

all but freely for a rich

  future,

Only to see her gratitude

 bestowed upon a

  virgin
