The Boy who started a joke

The Boy who started a joke

A Poem by TTBoy28

Paul

 became Paulina

in just a matter of time

Paulina

 then started to dance

would do it at the drop of a dime

Paulina

 felt special

knew she stood out in the crowd

Paulina

tried to hide the adam's apple

so she wouldn't be too loud

Paulina

 created vogueing

in her own little neighborhood

Paulina

 was often laughed at

they thought she was no good

Paulina

 often cried

behind everyone's back

Paulina

 continued vogueing

until she had a heart attack

Paulina

 didn't die

the people only remembered Paul

The Boy who started a joke

 and became loved by all

I understand why you wanted me to read this poem.

Your poem handles the subject matter in a more simplistic way, while mine is a little bit more complex. Yet, I think the simplistic quality that this poem has makes it so wonderful.

It was a very great read.

The last two lines of this poem really set me to thinking. An interesting story, once, it sunk in (I mean the last two lines.) It is well written and had a sad, sad ending. Paul was remembered, at the death of his joke, Paulina. You may enjoy Emma's story, with a similar theme, "Denny."
