The Other Side

The Other Side

A Poem by TTBoy28

The other side where I've been

Is still just as glamorous

Even through the jilting

 The deception

and the promises

I still await my soulmate

 My suitor

 --a carbon copy

 of myself

But with one more trait

Devotion

I've been to the other side

And it is not all ugly

There was just fear

Fear that all anyone else

Wanted was a good

 Time

Never considering that

Although we all are the same

Physically

We weren't the same

 Mentally

Desiring that physical

Long*term

Commitment

I've seen the other side

(But can't remember who went with me)

Alone
