The Quest

The Quest

A Poem by TTBoy28

It seemed like the

 ride would never

  end

turn after turn

 blindspot after blindspot

Still

 the mission to

  get there

  was still there

Could it have been

 another day?

Could there have been

 another way?

As smooth as it

  was

How could any one

 second guess

even flagging a

 Sheriff

for directions

All seemed too

 flawless

with a five-o'clock

  shadow

at 6 o'clock

and a kind, warm

 greeting

It seemed like the

 ride would never

  end

As the same route

 and encounters

 awaited going

  home
