A Poem by T.S. Ulmus
"

Another collaboration with Nix. This one was my prompt but she contributed greatly.

Deeply flawed individual seeks
likewise flawed women to treasure
and pleasure (for literally weeks)
I’m 5’4
I want a woman I can adore
My name is Jerry
I work at a dairy
I like to cry late at night
We might have a couple of fights
Often while drunk as a skunk
Doesn’t have to be too bright
The runover and emotionally stunted are preferred
Passed-over and devotionally runted may be referred
Someone who doesn’t try
To rethink my drinking
A girl who's not thinking
about me; she’s just there
To draw my stare
I like to ponder the inane
And wander in the rain
I want someone to wander with
A girl that’s not a myth
Maybe someone for company
Or to spend all my money
To groan and to moan
I’m so tired of being alone

Well.. it almost kinda fit me and I was going to ask where the applications are - but alas, I rarely drink to get a buzz let alone drunk.

I've only ever been tipsy.. unless you count three time a friend rescued me after I'd been roofied 🤔

Being alone is fine...until you realize your dog doesn't really think your funny she just wants you to feed her...This was a good read...before I goto the Pet store for food.

It's never good to be alone.
Everybody needs a special somebody.
Your words are real and to the point.
simple, yet heartfelt.

Loneliness sucks. I guess when you are in that situation you may be inclined in some circumstances to settle for little rather than no one at all. Someone is better than no one. I don't think that way, but then I have never suffered from loneliness and have never lived alone apart from one short spell for a year when I was 18. Company is comfortable, that's what I think.

This seems like quite a nice and normal relationship to me! I loved how you described it. Loneliness bites sometimes and we just feel what the heck is wrong with us when we see others in relationships. But the cozy twosome may not be so cozy on close quarters. But then again we do need the noise, naughty and nasty of a normal relationship. This poem was such fun to read and thought provoking too. My compliments to you and Nix. !

My pleasure, dear Nix and Ulmus! I look forward to more such delightful poems from you!
Being tired and alone will make one accept ANYONE for just a bit of love and affection. So dear Jerry is certainly in with a chance, despite being small of stature and a manipulator by day of bovine teats! This was a fun read, TS. It's nice to read a bit of humour in this high strung poetic world. So thank you for that. It was very enjoyable. 🌹

My friend. Seeking a woman? Maybe the seeker is wanting too little. I liked the honest thoughts, the need of less and the honest words. Thank you my friend for sharing the entertaining poetry.

Haha, I think I may have gotten way too much credit for this, "contributed greatly" is a bit of an overstatement. I think I may have added...one line. (okay, maybe two...or five? I dunno) I did like this prompt though and I wish I could've contributed to it more but my brain's been on vacation for the past few days and doesn't wanna come back to work. I'm guessing you couldn't figure out how to copy the picture I picked for this one, huh? It's okai, lol, I probably wouldn't know how to on your phone either.

There is a website for that. Hint, use an old photograph.
