List of accomplishments

List of accomplishments

A Poem by T.S. Ulmus
"

It's taken many years and much effort to rack up this sort of curriculum vitae

"
I was down so I decided to create a list of my greatest accomplishments and personal attributes to make myself feel better.

-seriously considered learning CPR
-my shoulder has a pretty cool scar
-not allergic to bees, unless they sting me
-only rarely do I get angry
-right-handed
-I once sanded (a box)
-smashed my thumb in a door and barely cried
-had a frog but it died
-can add single digits in a flash
-watched every episode of M.A.S.H.
-ate three hot dogs in a row
-invited on a date, but didn't go
-I sometimes look a person in the eye
-never honk my horn though often sigh
-I can pick stuff up with my toes
-when I squish a firefly it glows

Yup, life well led

Strange to relate, there is one achievement which I prize above all others! That is staying alive! You may scoff, but every day I hear of a death that shocks me. Some die in their seventies, as I'm in my eighties I consider that a mighty achievement. As to your poem - I have yet to try more than one hot dog! I enjoyed your poem!

I really enjoyed this little poem with its end rhymes. There's always achievements if we look hard enough. Usually though, if we are on a downer we can't see the wood for the trees. There were a couple I related too. I never honk my horn either. I enjoyed some humour here. Those three hot dogs, took some eating :) This poem I found refreshing. It made me smile.
