Bacchanalian OrgyA Poem by T.S. UlmusI meant "orgy" in the religious sense here, though invoking Bacchus certainly blurs the distinction between the definitions.
Hours before the stupor,
glowing swarming flies. Some will wander, others loopers. An absurd revelry plies kissing, covorting elated. Ravage gnashing and snarls, passionate embraces donated, making mothers out of girls. Exceptionally witty repertoire lost on foggy ears. The profound and bizarre brings belly-laughs and tears. False dawn brings false hope of eternity in autumn. One last fleeting grope and then it is forgotten. © 2020 T.S. UlmusAuthor's Note
