The Lonely Poet

A poet who learns what love actualy is

I once was a lonely poet

who only wrote of love when i never knew love

everyone one seemed to like it so I stayed that way

then I saw you and something changed

my poems became real

and not only did others like them but I did

each poem i wrote amazed me

because I did not create the poem

you did

the way you could make one feel

can make the world turn

how a simple smile

can make rays of light

I know I'm just a poet

but trust me when I say

the sweetest thing in life

is a living poem you can love from afar
