medicated dreams

i got put on anti depressants after my last attempt and ended up in the er an mh for a while. i didn’t like how different i felt at first so i wrote abt it 😂

I'm the medicine that makeups your frown
Choke on me as I go down
Breathe me in let's be clowns
Watch me watch us fall,fall down
When nighttime comes
And I wear off
You become
A shadow ghost
Your mind and dark room
Hold hand in hand
Depression soon
Ruler of your mental land
A king of despair
And a prince of self hate
Queen of loathing
Princess anxiety shakes
Burst thru the doors
I guard at day
March down the floors
Of faded sun rays
Riot down the halls
Of mental stability
Burn down the bedrooms
Of happiness and hope
You sit draped in fear
Upon your shrinking throne
As king despair approaches
To tell you he's won
You dare to stand your ground
But without me, hopeless
Your ears fill w the twisted sound
Of your land in torment
The true king draws closer
And takes you by the throat
He holds you in the air, hand tighter
And laughs like its a show
He offers you to queen loathing
You fall at her feet
As she whispers in your ear
Saying all the deeds you need complete
She laughs as she kicks you
Over to prince self hate
He shows you exactly what to do
And says it's your fate
He and the princess jeer
The king and queen holler
They stand together and sing fear
Go black and get taller
They're shrieking
As you lay at their feet
You're weakening
You're breaking without me
