Life was so different, just a decade ago!!

As we grow life changes, still we think about the childhood we've had. It's different for all and its different in many aspects. But still the core thought of childhood remains the same. =)

Life a decade ago, 

Was so different from now.

When happiness was just fun,

And not measured through the money in our bank account.

Smiles used to come through silly games,

And not from competitions we fair for success galore.

 

 

A time when popsicles in our hands melting down,

Made us rejoice the season of summer around.

When owning a bicycle made us look big,

Making us feel so proud & sound.

Feeling so senseless in the pleasures of life,

Without any problems we would wish for more time.

Playing on the grounds with friends and foes,

When winning or loosing was as friendly as it comes.

Life a decade ago,

Was so different from now.

 

 

Going to the beach,

Was like a picnic for us.

The sand castles we built,

Resembled the dreams we saw.

The food at the stalls,

Seemed as if it were a hotel galore.

The glittering sea,

Made us smile and play around.

Life was so different, Just a decade ago.

 

 

As we read this note now,

As life changes for the children around.

A decade from now,

Again someone would write.

Maybe the experience this time,

Would be different from what this note cites.

Yet for those who read at that time,

Life would have changed.

As such that they would also say,

Life was so different, just a decade ago.
