The Question of an Apple Pie

The Question of an Apple Pie

A Poem by TMS.Shammie

Waking up every morning,
My mind says one thing.
What's new in the day?
What's the thing that will make it great?

I ask myself sometimes,
Why do we need a goal?
Is it that life needs to be charted at all?
Wouldn't an uncharted life be a more adventurous one?
Lying down, thinking of the present instead of the future.
Treating things we have as fair,
Not weighing its importance towards future despair.

Time is now for us to treat everything right,
Rather than thinking of how I can make an apple pie.
Unknown to us right now,
All we ever want is to see our future.
Blinded by the pie which we only think,
Never do we ever get close to eating it.

So rack up your brains,
And make up your mind.
Let's build the present,
On a fair note of life.
Cause I believe in the present,
Lies the future of an apple pie.
