![]() EnchantmentA Poem by Alvin L. Kathembe![]() For L.S :)![]() Those eyes larger
than saucers are Devices of a
sorcerer That low-cut,
gripping, revealing dress Devices of a
sorceress That eye shadow,
that body lotion Ingredients for
your love potion. I see it now, in
my mind’s eye Tall, dark tower
with tolling bell Rainclouds,
lightning, crashing thunder Incantations to
put me under A strong, potent
and binding spell Voice ringing into
the sky, I’m Peter Pan,
you’re Tinkerbell - I’m caught under a
fairy’s spell Like Flitwick
tripping over Goyle’s arms You’ve got me falling
for your charms The mirror in my
heart’s categorical That you’re the
fairest of them all. I promised not to
fall for any woman But my heart
betrayed me like Saruman And I really don’t
know how this occurred I guess I should
have kept my eyesonguard For my eyes have
found no better view Ever since the day
they lit on you. Enchantment so
sweet that none could tell Slumber in this
delicious spell And how I wish I
shall not wake And this sweet
enchantment never break! © 2011 Alvin L. KathembeReviews
