The Sky's The Limit

It really is.

The sky really is the limit

Come, think of it -

What is the sky, really?

That great blue expanse above

We earthwalkers stare in wonder at

And propound theories to explain -

Like, ‘colour of air’

And ‘ocean’s reflection’…

But the few of us who dare

To find out for themselves

Find that the higher they go

The fainter the blue…

The barrier disappears

As their minds open up

Till at last it dissolves

Into nothing, nothing at all…

 

See, the sky only exists

In our minds.

And that…

That is the only limit.

What an amazing take on man's limits! This is absolutely amazing. We blind ourselves with limits that aren't there. Often, we forget that our mind can restrict us or set us free depending on how we use it. It's so sad that most use their minds to restrict themselves, creating limits that are illusions. Another great write from a poetry master.
