We are living in dark ages
Yes, there’s so much information
Yet the Truth, on screens or pages
Is obscure from deformation
‘Cause men have tweaked it, and hyped it
And added, also subtracted
Till, at last, it’s but a hybrid
From which Truth can’t be extracted…

Now, unclear and blurred is the line
Between facts and opinions
And now the truth is being defined
By the pow’rful and their minions
Who can dispel this ‘scuring mist?
More perplexing- just who would dare?
Half the world is blinded by it,
And the other half doesn’t care…

I know it’s not just the clever
Able to see past all the lies
We would not be sightless ever
If we would but open our eyes...

A few small suggestions...

"And added, also subtracted" -- The word 'also' feels awkward here. Maybe you could use 'and' again, maybe 'or.'

"And now the truth is being defined" -- I feel like this would flow better using 'has been' rather than 'is being.'

"Half the world is blinded by it/And the other half doesn’t care…" -- I think you could change this to be 'half of /them/ (italicized) are blinded by it/and the other half don't care.' You would keep the same meaning, but it would flow a little better. In any case, I feel like these lines should be revised.

"I know it’s not just the clever/Able to see past all the lies" -- It took me rereading this a few times to get what you meant. Maybe revising 'able to' to 'who can' would make it easier to grasp it faster.

Aside from these, this was wonderful! I love the ideas behind it, I love how you conveyed them. You're such an inspiring writer in that you can express just about anything if you try. Also, the way you use some of your rhymes is just capturing. The first stanza flowed so well, and it was practically entrancing.

Great job, overall! I'm gonna go ahead and give you a fantastical 95/100. Keep it coming, I love reading your stuff. :)

Revolution! You speak my words, exactly. I knew I liked you for more than just the fact that you were so impressed with my writing. I, sir, am also impressed by yours. This shall be added to my favorites, no doubt. Great write! Thank you for sharing, dear friend. Maybe one of these days... we can all stand up for what is right by us all and not just what is right by the powered and greedy.

I have nothing to add onto this poem. There are times 'flawless' doesn't suffice-these are one of those times Alvin. This poem is one any reader can relate to and understand. We truly are living in the dark ages of following around what we hear is truth without a personal sense of judgement and your poem has captured it wholly. Magnificent work, great read!!!

This is a tapestry woven into the mind. Pontus Pilate said it best, "What is truth?" before he sentenced Jesus to death and Socrates said, "Truth is like beauty. they are in the eyes of the beholder." You have done a wonderful job conveying this fact. TRUTH is a matter of floating definition. It simply means that what ever pop culture deems as truth at the time, is gonna be the truth. This is a wonderful poem and a Superb philisophical write. Excellent Job!

There has always been truths and lies. Though it may seen unreal, the mind can see truth from lies. It's just that WE choose to ignore its command over us. If we go by mind, and not feelings, I'm sure we'll be in a better place. Keep writing.

Some one once said to me the truth is something that is always true forever never changing. Now facts are another thing facts have been stretched, bent, altered and rewritten by those in control of the media to control the general populations of the world. How true is that? lol
I hope that my sons generation can rise up to the governments of the world and say enough with the bullshit lets build a world on truth and honesty!
