Brownian MotionA Poem by Alvin L. KathembeI've got a new dance for y'allI dance better
when I’m tipsy - I’ve got the
moves like jäger. I’m more
comfortable on crowded dance floors - That way I can
camo-hide my ineptitude In a mass of
bodies. When the crowd
melts away, I am exposed: A mass of
awkward shuffling, All tics and twitches,
in complete dissonance with the beat; Each movement as
uncoordinated, as random, As quantum
fluctuations. Hands in the
air, Like you just
don’t care! Take a sip of
your potion, Do the Brownian
Motion! © 2014 Alvin L. KathembeAuthor's Note
