Little princess, go to sleep

Do not dream, and quiet keep

Fear no monsters ’neath your bed:

Fear the monsters in your head.

 

Little princess, go to sleep

Do not dream, and quiet keep

Fear not strangers and witches; rather

Fear your brother; fear your father.

 

Little princess, go to sleep

Never dream, and silent keep

Sleep, little child, for goodness’ sake!

Sleep, and pray you never wake!

Beautiful title that portrays this piece perfectly. This was beautiful and enchanting. Sometimes sleep walking feels better (easier) than being awake doesn't it?
