False

False

A Poem by Alvin L. Kathembe

She shines,

Only star in a lonely sky
Only twinkle in my clouded eye
Only Muse for a forgotten Art
Only pulse in a stony heart
Last hint of colour in pallid cheeks
Her love she hides, and my soul seeks
She is perfectly formed, with no shadow, or flaws;
Yet Time will prove her false.

She shines,

The last light left for me to see
Lighthouse spied from lonely sea
I'm only with her when I'm dreaming;
The solution is simple;
I am Dom Cobb, I am Rip van Winkle;
Morning brings mourning; a tone, a shake
For such is life that we must wake
What is Day, but disappointment and pain?
But the space between dreaming, and dreaming again?
With her I soar free of consciousness' walls
And Time will prove her false.

Nice write. Again with your playing with words and still making sense.
