Shake Off Your Masters

Shake Off Your Masters

A Poem by Alvin L. Kathembe
"

"As a man thinketh, so is he."

"

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

Cast off the chains, set yourself free.

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

Slave to pornography.

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

Lured into your cage with honey;

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

There’s more to life than money!

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

False role models, false ambitions;

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

And turn off your television!

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

Poisoned mind and poisoned health -

Shake off your masters, fettered mind

And learn to think for your damn self!!

At a first glance before digesting the meaning the poem is rhythmic and a great read... 'cause of the repetition of that line... is it known refrain?!! It's true...some times in pursuing one thing we ignore other important aspects of life... thought provoking lines...
