Your Ephemeral ForeverA Poem by tkNever say “I Love You” unless you mean it. Never say you’ll wait unless you can prove it. Never say “Forever” unless you really want everything to last.Your Ephemeral Forever I believed every word you said, it
seemed so sincere To infinity and beyond is your promise
I longed to hear I felt infallible bliss when you told
me that you will wait That in the right time, we will be
brought back by fate Two months passed, it was a cold
summer night When you bid a goodbye without an
explanation in sight I was dazed; questions are left
hanging in the air Yesterday you said forever and always,
now you don’t even care Your love and affection lasted just a
few months’ time It was a hoax; breaking promises is an
unforgivable crime Everyone said that an eternity is a
time not evanescent But still you found a way to put
everything to an end It was such a bittersweet ending of
our story I wasted my time for a thing that was temporary It’s such an irony how your forever
turned into It hurts but I’ll say farewell to you,
my almost lover. © 2012 tkAuthor's Note
